Intensive full time basic course for biodynamic agriculture. The language of instruction is german.

The course addresses trainees for agriculture and horticulture and other interested people. In addition, the course gives the opportunity to get to know the farm school and helps with the decision-support for the participation in the all-year course.

Essential elements are: cosmic rhythms and astronomy, accompanied by observations of the winter sky, projective geometry, soil cultivation in the course of the year, biodynamic definition of organism, anthroposophy assumption of the human being, beekeeping, business planning for plant cultivation and dairy farming and, of course, the art.

The course includes board and lodging (Demeter-quality food) at € 1.065. If you are resident in the federal state of Hessen the price is reduced to € 845. Few single rooms are available at extra-charge.

Full time further education in biodynamic agriculture for young farmers and gardeners with various focus on plant cultivation respectively animal husbandry and a critical introduction to the beliefs of Rudolf Steiner. The language of instruction is german.

The course addresses people who have completed at least a two-year training in agriculture or horticulture and who are preparing to become self-employed as biodynamic farmer or gardener. The February course can also be attended as a trial course by those who are interested in the all-year course.

The course includes board and lodging (Demeter-quality food) and costs € 800. If you are resident in the federal state of Hesse the price is reduced to € 635. Few single rooms are available at extra-charge.

This 2-year further education conciliates skills and knowledge in general plant breeding, introduction to basics of anthroposophic-goetheanistic plant understanding and provides an insight into various approaches of biodynamic breeder. The education takes place in week-sections; in winter at Dottenfelderhof, in summer at different breeding-farms.

Accommodation, food and travel expenses are the responsibility of each participant. Fees and other costs of the lecturers are paid by Kultursaat e. V. and Dottenfelderhof Agricultural School.
